The most Amazing Cab in SG

Boarding a cab yesterday evening, I was caught by surprise to realize..

1 - The cab provided free access to WIFI (there's a modem onboard with a huge cooler!)
2 - Provided free printing of documents service for passengers onboard (there's a printer just at the backseat, in front of the rear window!)
3 - Universal handphone charger (charge at own risk precaution)
4 - Adjustable LED lights attached to seats, in case it became too dark for passengers to do work on the cab

WOW. Therefore out of curiosity I questioned.

The driver said it wasn't his cab, he was just a relief driver in place of his friend. His friend had a few years earlier thought why not provide these services since he himself loved working on the go, and that his cost for internet subscription and printing would be covered by passengers who would tip for using the services provided.

Examples he quoted :

Airport -
Passenger forgets to bring ticket, can print an E-ticket immediately online. Life saver I must say!

Handphone Low Batt -
I myself would happily tip him for that half hour charge for that vital few moments of being contactable and being able to contact.

WIFI -
There's no reason not to provide the customers with a fixed price paid convenience for himself. How nice of him!

KUDOS to such nice people in Singapore! Maybe mobile companies would turn kind one day and provide us with free communication services. Till then, let's dream on

Messy thoughts. Long Winded. Nothing Spectacular. ME.

2 yr old band.. within these 2 yrs.. we fought, we sweat (you guys also sweat at outdoor shows not forgetting keke)..

How many more yrs of fighting before we get to make our mark in the scene.. being known for "different" chinese music in a Pop industry and be widely accepted as a norm?

Never dreamt of a MLB concert since Audition 1... never dreamt of doing a concert since i was in my mum's inflated womb. But 2 mths ago we were informed and asked if we would want to take up that challenge (and in wei qi's exam period). Crazy... the concert came to pass though. Wei Qi pulled through. We survived. Did satisfactory for a first try. My speech was kinda.. erhrm.. nervous.. but at least OUR music spoke. No pyrotechnics like Andy Lau.. Just plain O' Music :)

2 yrs ago i could only dream of the band flying overseas to show the chinese world our music.. NOW the dream is getting more visual as the days pass. Inch by inch.. maybe in 2 ys/ 4 yrs? I duno.. Anyways.. Not for fame, Not for fortune, BUT for the love of life.. music.. performing.. Hope This dream materialises.

Time really flies..

My Parents have grown old.. my sis has crossed puberty.. i'm now half man half boy.. 3 of us have been aware of each others' existence, say for 18 yrs? wow. looking back.. so much time has swept by. Its saddening thinking of this.. Not too long later i will too have grey hair ...

4 mths ago.. i dreamt in 10 yrs time i'll save up enough experience and $ to open a music related biz.. with studios and all.. to be near my passion.. and now.. this 10yr later opportunity presents itself 2 mths ago.. in 2 mths time it be up.. doing up a music school with a sincere friend of mine who has been in the biz for yrs. A dream fast forwarded by 10 yrs.

What next?

By the time you guys read these messy thoughts..

We would be jamming out for Monday's Show..

And working out our 3rd album stuffs..

After that what's next for the band?

MAybe its time I start looking pass my wooden box that would be pushed into those flames with my kids collecting my ashes.. Giving Music and love the way I would do.. to their kids..

In the end.. we just turn to dust..

But it aint gonna be dusty I hope before that.. Let me shine :)

Summary of the concert:
Went to Esplanade last Friday night to catch Mi Lu Bing debut concert, Three-in-Transit! Though the concert was only 60-minute, the concert was so much fun..Not only MLB rock the hall but us MLBians too..wonder have the 'durian' crack? haha..so many nice nice songs being sang and sang along yesterday..especially those from SB days..so sweet..bring back memories..the video clip was cool too..especially Nic..so cute and funny..the dance was great too..MLB, you guys acted well..jiayou!

Love the encore part where all of us shouted till voice and throat broke..the encore song was so special..it seems so different from other gigs and events we had attented in the past..this night was a memorable night! Just like what Nic mentioned above, 2 months of preparations(迷路兵)2 months of waiting(MLBians) POOF! BUT a great memory it will be..hope for MANY MANY MORE to come!

Mi Lu Bing, thanks for this great great memory you have given us..we'll always chrish it for the rest of the MLB journey! Power-Lah!!!
